The civil funeral ceremony of thirteen persons, perished in Abkhazian armed conflict is taking place at Sameba Cathedral.
Representatives from governmental structures, Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia, Minister of Defense Irakli Garibashvili, Minister of Justice Tea Tsulukiani, Minister of Reconciliation and Civil Equality Tea Akhvlediani, and General Secretary of Georgian Dream Party Kakha Kaladze are attending the ceremony.
Eight soldiers and five civilians perished in the conflict, will be honorably buried today. Two soldiers will be buried in Digomi Memorial Cemetary, the rest – at their family graves, as requested by family members.
