Georgia's breakaway region of Abkhazia recorded 54 new cases of the novel coronavirus in a single day after 543 people were tested.
A total of 248 patients are now under treatment at the six COVID centers in the region, 34 patients with severe COVID-19.
The occupied region has so far registered 11,355 cases, 9,467 recoveries, and 167 deaths.
