Georgia's breakaway region of Abkhazia recorded 34 new cases of the novel coronavirus in a single day after 249 people were tested.
A total of 79 patients are now under treatment at the five COVID centers in the region, with 11 patients in critical condition.
The occupied region has so far registered 13,576 cases, 13,070 recoveries, and 216 deaths.
