Georgia's breakaway region of Abkhazia recorded 56 new cases of the novel coronavirus in a single day after 519 people were tested.
A total of 259 patients are now under treatment at the six COVID centers in the region, 42 patients with severe COVID-19.
The occupied region has so far registered 11,411 cases, 9,782 recoveries, and 168 deaths.
