Coronavirus death toll rises across Georgia

The novel coronavirus claimed 31 lives in the past 24 hours, with the total death toll hitting 2,603, Stop.Cov.ge reports.

A total of 417 people tested positive for the coronavirus, while 2,469 patients have recovered.

Georgia observed the first case of the novel coronavirus infection on February 26, 2020.

The World Health Organization declared the pandemic on March 11.

The pneumonia-causing infection outbreak began in China in December 2019.

On January 21, 2020, China confirmed the virus's human-to-human transmission and declared a quarantine in its two cities.
