Coronavirus kills Georgian virologist

Virologist Boris Korsantia has died of the novel virus, according to deputy head of the NCDC Paata Imnadze.

"We are in a critical situation. The system is working under maximal pressure. Not to mention anything else, even human resources are not any longer enough. Unfortunately, lots of our colleagues have been killed by the virus. Today, the virus claimed the life of a founder of virology Boris Korsantia," Paata Imnadze told Formula TV.

Boris Korsantia, the author of more than 200 science papers, died aged 78.
