Country sees daily spike of around 10,000 cases, Imnadze says

Deputy Head of the NCDC Paata Imandze says that the country's coronavirus cases are double or thrice the officially released numbers. 

In Imnadze's words, around 10,000 new daily cases are witnessed, but infected citizens usually have no symptoms or have an extremely mild form of the virus. 

Georgia recorded 3,128 cases in the past 24 hours to bring the total tally to 111,818. A total of 3,045 patients have recovered, with their number increasing to 92,215.

The country has registered 1,051 deaths (39 recent).
