Georgia's breakaway region of Abkhazia recorded 24 new cases of the novel coronavirus in a single day after 228 people were tested.
A total of 78 patients are now under treatment at the five COVID centers in the region, with 9 patients in critical condition.
The occupied region has so far registered 13,600 cases, 13,093 recoveries, and 216 deaths.
