Minister of Defence Irakli Gharibashvili and Chief of Georgian Defense Forces Giorgi Matiashvili have wished Georgian peacekeepers a Happy New Year.
They addressed Georgian peacekeepers in Afghanistan and the Central African Republic from the Defence Management Center under the Ministry of Defence of Georgia. Gharibashvili thanked them for serving their country and ensuring global security. He also wished Georgian peacekeepers safe return to their homeland.
The top officials streamed live online conferences to Afghanistan's different locations, namely, the Bagram Air Base, Kabul, Mazār-i-Sharīf, Bangui, the capital of Central African Republic.
