''Mikheil Saakashvili is ready to be transferred to the hospital. This cannot be done today or tomorrow; possibly at the weekend; I cannot specify a date,'' Mikheil Saakashvili's personal physician Nikoloz Kipshidze said.
In Kipshidze's words, it is yet unknown in which clinic precisely Saakashvili will be transferred. ''However, hospitalization does not mean that the president ends his hunger strike. Under no circumstances is this even under discussion,'' the doctor stressed.
Mikheil Saakashvili was detained on 1 October.
He declared a hunger strike 20 days ago.
