First batch of AstraZeneca vaccine sent to Georgia

Regional Director for Europe at the World Health Organization Hans Kluge said in his Twitter post that Georgia has proven the fourth country to be provided with COVID-19 vaccine through COVAX in Europe.

"Georgia is about to become the 4th country in the WHO_Europe Region, to receive vaccines through COVAX. I just met up with Eva UNICEF as the shipment was being prepared," he tweeted.

Georgia is set to receive its first batch of AstraZeneca anti-COVID-19 vaccine on 13 March.
