Gabunia's explanation on the "Mu" strain

According to the Deputy Minister of Health, Tamar Gabunia, no case of "Mu" strain has been reported in Georgia yet.

According to her, "Mu" strain is not distinguished by any special aggression.

"The World Health Organization views this new Mu strain as a matter of interest and not a matter of danger, as in the case with the Delta strain. The Delta strain is still a major concern.

Many countries are still under observation regarding the Mu strain; we have not had such a case yet.

No particular aggression can be attributed to this new variation, but for now, we have to wait and see what the world experience will be like, and we will take appropriate action accordingly," said Tamar Gabunia to "Rustavi 2".
