The politician, Gedevan Popkhadze, was confirmed to be COVID-positive, reports the Our Georgia-Solidarity Alliance Party.
Yesterday, Gedevan Popkhadze was placed in Republic Hospital with high temperature. Another member of his Party, Zviad Kvachantiradze, is also expecting the COVID test result. The Party's other leaders are in self-isolation.
Levan Gogichaishvili, the Political Secretary of the Party and his wife, were confirmed coronavirus positive a few days ago.
