Georgia plans to present Batumi at UNESCO Creative Cities

"Georgia plans to present the city of Batumi within the framework of the UNESCO Creative Cities," the chairperson of the culture committee stated.

Eliso Bolkvadze met with Ernesto Ottone, UNESCO Deputy Director-General for Culture.

The issue of creative cities initiated by UNESCO was discussed at the meeting. Georgia plans to present the city of Batumi within the framework of the project.

"We also talked about the cycle of events dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the World Cultural Heritage Convention, which is planned for 2022. As a UNESCO member, Georgia will be involved in the events with an interesting program, which once again shows the unique culture of our country," said Eliso Bolkvadze.
