Georgia reports five more Omicron cases

NCDC head Amiran Gamkrelidze says that Georgia has confirmed five more cases of the new Omicron coronavirus variant. In Gamkrelidze's words, 29 cases have so far officially been confirmed in the country, but, actually, the number of Omicron cases should be a lot more.''The coronavirus variant has, in fact, started circulation in the country. We could not have been an exception as we prognosticated,'' Gamkrelidze told the Public Broadcaster.

Amiran Gamkrelidze also stressed that the majority of Omicron patients are vaccinated, and they show mild symptoms.
