Georgia's COVID-19 prospects bleak, says NCDC deputy head

Deputy head of the NCDC, Paata Imnadze, says that COVID-19 pandemic prospects in Georgia seem bleak.

''Prospects are bleak. The first two weeks of May are expected to be immensely bad, with rising cases. However, I reiterate that everything is in our hands; if we wear facemasks, avoid social gatherings, feasts at cemeteries when visiting our loved one's graves, the death toll in late April and May will be lower. We remember what was happening in November, do we not? We may face the same case scenario again,'' Mr. Imnadze stated.
