Georgia sees 523 new cases of coronavirus

Georgia has detected 523 new cases of the novel coronavirus infection, and the number of infected reached 11,794, the official government webpage stopcov.ge reports.

The number of recovered increased by 208 and totaled 6,327.

The novel coronavirus infection has claimed 85 lives in Georgia.

Georgia observed the first case of the novel coronavirus infection on February 26, 2020.

The World Health Organization declared the pandemic on March 11.

The pneumonia-causing infection outbreak began in China in December 2019.
