Georgian customs officers enjoy training against drug trafficking

As part of the "Container Control Program" project, Georgian customs officers, officers of the patrol police, the central criminal police, and the investigative service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia underwent training on drug trafficking response.

The World Customs Organization sponsors the Container Control Program, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and the US Embassy's Export Control and Border Security Program.

The joint exercises were attended by Svetlana Savova, an expert from the World Customs Organization, Naida Shamilova, regional manager of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime in the Black Sea region, and Rosie Petrov, head of the Export Control and Border Security Program of the US Embassy.
