Georgian health official says when curfew likely to be removed

Director-General of Infectious Diseases, AIDS and Clinical Immunology Research Center, Tengiz Tsertsvadze, says that the epidemiological situation in Georgia will improve in late May, and the curfew will be lifted.

In Tsertsvadze's words, the government is expected to remove restrictions after the situation in the country stabilizes.

''I do hope that the curfew will not be effective in summer. By the end of May, the situation will improve, and the curfew will be removed, in my opinion,'' Mr. Tsertsvadze declared.
