Georgian infectious disease specialist: Countrywide third wave has not yet hit

Director-General of Infectious Diseases, AIDS and Clinical Immunology Research Center, Tengiz Tsertsvadze, says that Georgia is on the verge of the third coronavirus wave, with its first phase about to start in the country.

''We are facing the third wave, its initial phase. The countrywide third wave has not yet hit; if we perceive the threat the third wave poses to the entire world, including Georgia, its economy, health sector, and the public, we may repel and avoid it altogether,'' Tsertsvadze declared.
