Georgian sportsman awarded for heroic deeds in Poland

The Polish police officers thanked former Georgian athlete Nukri Davitashvili for saving a young man, Georgian Ambassador to Poland Ilia Darchiashvili, posted on Twitter.

Local media say that Nukri Davitashvili helped a 20-year-old man assaulted by two people in the center of Warsaw.

Davitashvili passed by the scene and defended the young man from the attackers.

Police seized scissors and a knife from the scene and said the attackers were drunk. Police officers questioned the affected as well.
