Giorgi Badashvili acting as Prosecutor General

Giorgi Badashvili is acting as the Prosecutor General of Georgia. He holds the position of Deputy Prosecutor General.

The post of Prosecutor General became vacant after Shalva Tadumadze was elected as a judge of the Supreme Court. Tadumadze received the support of 89 lawmakers, only one opposed.

Tadumadze was elected as the Prosecutor General on July 16, 2018. He replaced Irakli Shotadze, who resigned on May 31, during the murder trial on Khorava Street.
