Health official: This is not our final challenge, we must cope with it without panic

Director-General of Infectious Diseases, AIDS and Clinical Immunology Research Center, Tengiz Tsertsvadze, says that Omicron will spread in Georgia.

In Tsertsvadze's words, the two citizens who were diagnosed with the Omicron variant show mild symptoms only, with one arriving from Miami and the other Dubai.

Tsertsvadze stressed that Omicron has already spread in 65 countries, and Georgia will not definitely be an exception. ''This is not our final challenge. We must cope with it without panic,'' Tengiz Tsertsvadze declared.

Georgia has so far confirmed two Omicron cases.
