Health system is completely overwhelmed: Tengiz Tsertsvadze

"The health system is completely overwhelmed, and we no longer have enough personnel," the head of Tbilisi's infectious diseases, Aids, and immunology research center said.

"Problems increased after dramatic case rises. Georgia has enjoyed serious success with its adequate treatment and a low number of deaths thanks to medical personnel. When they made arduous efforts to cure patients, there were no complaints, but now they are, with this probably having a reason. We are trying to prevent this from happening with all resources available. The reason is the overwhelming number of patients and insufficient personnel," Tsertsvadze said.
