According to the National Agency For Cultural Heritage Preservation of Georgia, heavy winds have damaged the roof of the Gelati monastery. Ten square meters of the roof have reportedly been damaged, and rehabilitation efforts are set to end tomorrow.
Reportedly, the Gelati monastery restoration efforts will no longer be carried out by the National Agency For Cultural Heritage Preservation, and it will be replaced by another company.
