Interior Ministry says elections are underway in calm atmosphere

"As of 10:00 AM, elections are underway in a calm atmosphere, no severe violations or incidents have taken place," Georgia's Interior Ministry reported.

Following Deputy Interior Minister Nino Tsatsiashvili, mobile police teams will ensure a safe environment and maintain public order all day long.

"The Ministry intensely cooperates with international observation missions and local non-governmental organizations. For cooperation, the Ministry designated contact persons," the Ministry says.

"The Ministry of Internal Affairs will inform the public about violations revealed through the elections," Nino Tsatsiashvili said.

The tenth convocation of the parliament is elected in Georgia today.
