Is public transport likely to resume soon?

Public transport resumption related issues must be dealt with delicately and discussed thoroughly, according to Amiran Gamkrelidze, the head of the National Center for Disease Control.

"The resumption of public transport services is related to an increased risk of the infection passing from person to person, which is why this is now under discussion, with the issue planned to be discussed at a government session and the decision taken afterward," Gamkrelidze declared.

Khatuna Zakhashvili, the head of the Department of Communicable Diseases at the National Center for Disease Control, said that public transport services might be resumed if a reduced number of passengers equipped with face masks will travel in them.
