Two new cases of the novel virus have been confirmed in the Lanchkhuti municipality.
Archil Mzhavia, the Head of the Department of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health in the region of Guria, said that the traced contacts have already been isolated.
"Their biological samples have already been sent to the lab. Locals do not have any reason to fall into despair; the situation is under control," Mzhavia said.
Guria has so far recorded 17 cases of the new coronavirus.
