Marina Endeladze: If we are not very careful, there is a danger

According to Marina Endeladze, the head of the boxing department at the Infectious Diseases, AIDS and Clinical Immunology Research Center, the epidemic in the country has relatively improved, but the number of infections in Georgia is still high.

According to her, in order to prevent the fifth wave, it is necessary to increase the rate of vaccination and the population to follow the recommendations.

"We see that the epidemic has improved relatively; the peak has passed, but, for a small country like this one, the existing number is very high.

If we are not very careful, the rate of vaccination does not increase further, and we do not follow the regulations properly, there is a danger that there may be a fifth wave. I think gradually, the vaccinated people will catch up with us, and I hope the fifth wave will not be as severe as the fourth," says Marina Endeladze.
