Marina Ezugbaia: There are no Czech citizens among those infected

Marina Ezugbaia, the medical director of Tbilisi Infectious Disease Hospital, does not confirm reports that Czech tourists visiting Georgia have coronavirus.

“This is false information. Czech citizens do not have the virus,” Ezugbaia told reporters.

The restaurant in Gudauri reported on its official Facebook page that three Czech tourists who were in Gudauri and frequently visited the restaurant had the coronavirus. According to them, the restaurant stopped working, and the employees are in isolation.

There are 33 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Georgia, of which one cured. 637 people remain in quarantine, and 54 in hospital.
