Mother of deputy at Rustavi City Council tests positive for coronavirus

The mother of a deputy at the Rustavi City Council has reportedly tested positive for the China-born virus while the MP himself, though displaying the symptoms, has proved virus-free.

Around 20 deputies at the Council were required to self-isolate, and they have so far followed the instruction. Contacts of the deputy and his mother are now being traced.

The deputy's mother proves to be an employee at the National Bank, in which six other staff members have also tested positive for the new coronavirus.
