Mother of taxi drivers collecting money for her health died

54 year-old Maia Kartvelishvili, whose children raised money by driving taxi for her medical expenses died. Kartvelishvili was suffering from leukemia.

Maia Kartvelishvili was undergoing treatment in Turkey and her treatment required $ 150,000.

To help their mother, her children, Nika and Rati decided to work as taxi drivers. On the car they wrote #ForMaiaLetUsBeatLeukemia. Later a Facebook page was created for Maia, which offered moral support to Kartvelishvili and her family. People could also transfer money to the bank accountant written on the page.

Today, Nika Katvelishvili wrote on social media page that Maia Kartvelishvili died.
