National Environment Agency warns population

The National Environment Agency warns the population about the expected weather.

"Thunderstorms are expected in Georgia from the afternoon of May 22 to the end of May 23, strong winds from time to time, hail, and 2-3 magnitude turbulence at sea are possible.

The air temperature in the lowlands of western Georgia will drop sharply by 10-15 degrees.

Expected heavy rainfall on Georgian rivers may significantly increase water levels. Floods on small rivers and the onset of landslides in the mountainous areas of the country can be expected," the statement said.
