NCDC head Gamkrelidze says when fifth coronavirus wave likely to hit

NCDC head Amiran Gamkrelidze says that the fifth coronavirus wave will hit Georgia at the end of November.

In Gamkrelidze's words, it will bring deaths, if the majority of the public refuses to get vaccinated.

''The entire world, including Georgia, will have to pass through the fifth wave. If we receive the vaccine, it will be relatively milder. If we refuse to get jabs, we will have to face a tough situation. The fifth wave is likely to hit at the end of November, in December,'' Gamkrelidze declared.

Georgia recorded a total of 1,698 new cases, 1,910 recoveries, and 38 deaths in the last 24 hours.
