Tensions are rising outside the National Movement office in the region of Zugdidi. Supporters of the ruling party have pelted the office with eggs and brooms and have also broken its windows.
Law enforcers are at the scene trying to control the situation.
"The era of the National Movement has ended for good. We remember the way they ruled the country for those nine years perfectly well, and they will never again manage to establish themselves at the helm of the country," activist Davit Konjaria said.
