Novel coronavirus kills 50 people in Georgia

The novel coronavirus infection claimed another 50 people in the past 24 hours, the National Center for Disease Control says.

A total of 3,780 recovered last night, while the number of infected equaled 3,907 in 24 hours.

Georgia observed the first case of the novel coronavirus infection on February 26, 2020.

The World Health Organization declared the pandemic on March 11.

The pneumonia-causing infection outbreak began in China in December 2019.

On January 21, 2020, China confirmed the virus's human-to-human transmission and declared a quarantine in its two cities.
