According to the head of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health, Amiran Gamkrelidze, 9-10 thousand coronavirus tests are performed daily in Georgia.
Gamkrelidze noted that this amount is enough for this scale of the epidemic, and there is no problem in the country when it comes to tests.
"We have a good rate of testing—a total testing rate of 213 000 to 214 000 per 1 million population. But let's not panic or calm down too easily," Gamkrelidze said.
