Number of people who transmitted the coronavirus in Tbilisi

According to Tengiz Tsertsvadze, the director of the Infectious Diseases, AIDS and Clinical Immunology Research Center, 110,000 people had a laboratory-confirmed covid diagnosis in Tbilisi. However, studies have shown that, in reality, the coronavirus infected 33 percent of the capital's population or 350,000 people.

"220,000 people, or 23%, were unaware that they had had Covid but had antibodies in their blood. In total, 33% of the population had Covid in Tbilisi, which is about 350,000 people. We say that when we reach 65% vaccination, 350,000 people will be added to the vaccinated because they have immunity, and we will end the pandemic," said Tengiz Tsertsvadze.
