An infected baby from Zugdidi died at the Iashvili Clinic in Tbilisi.
The child was undergoing treatment in resuscitation for 15 days. The baby was on a breathing apparatus and could not be saved.
The family members probably transmitted the virus to the baby; they were also infected but recovered.
