The Clinical Director, Lali Turdzeladze, told Report.ge that the patient was placed in the reanimation department on ventilation since the first day he entered the clinic. He developed pneumonia on the background of the virus.
“Besides the above, he had sepsis and septic shock. He also had other chronic diseases, including diabetes. His condition was assessed as complicated. The patient died with multi-organ failure.” – said Turdzeladze.
According to Lali Turdzeladze, the patient was COVID-negative during the last period of his life.
For the information, eight new cases of infection are registered in Georgia today, which increased the number of infected patients to 851. The number of recovered people has increased by five and is 702.
