Post-COVID syndrome to be studied in Georgia

Tengiz Tsertsvadze, the head of Tbilisi's infectious diseases, Aids, and immunology research center, said that citizens who have recovered from COVID-19 would be tested from 1 February. The study aims to find out what percentage of the population develops post-COVID syndrome.

In Tsertsvadze's words, 500 study participants are planned to be selected randomly; they will be subject to clinical and instrumental tests.

The ministry will supposedly draw up a program within which medical institutions will render the corresponding free services to citizens with the post-COVID syndrome.
