According to the World Ecclesiastical News, priest Davit Machitadze, 44, has died of the new coronavirus.
"Unfortunately, the coronavirus has claimed another religious servant's life. Priest Davit Machitadze, who turned 44 on November 19, has passed. May God bless his eternal soul and grant him salvation," the statement reads.
