Prosecutor's Office released a statement

To prevent the spread of coronavirus in Georgia, the Prosecutor's Office of Georgia urges citizens to refrain from going to the Prosecutor's Office, except in urgent cases.

"They can send applications by email to kancelaria@pog.gov.ge, and if necessary, leave the letters in specially placed boxes in the Prosecutor's Office. Disinfection has already been carried out in the buildings of the Prosecutor's Office, which will continue in the future. Prosecutor's office staff with health problems will be allowed to work remotely, while high-risk staff will move into self-isolation," the statement said.

There are 25 cases of coronavirus in Georgia.

Currently, there are 245 people in quarantine and 58 in inpatient care.

The World Health Organization officially announced the pandemic of a new type of coronavirus, COVID-19, on March 11. The organization calls on countries to fight an aggressive disease.

The Georgian government moved to a state of emergency on March 12.
