Quarantine period not reduced for coronavirus patients' contacts in Georgia

Head of the NCDC Amiran Gamkrelidze says that a 12-day quarantine period has been shortened for people entering Georgia rather than for coronavirus-positive patients' contacts.

"A 12-day quarantine period has been reduced to eight. However, I emphasize that people entering Georgia must be subject to 8-day quarantine; this rule does not apply to infected citizens' contacts. People crossing the border of Georgia, except for some rare cases, must be quarantined, for eight days now," Amiran Gamkrelidze stressed.
