According to the Roads Department of Georgia, due to extreme weather and avalanche risks, trailers and semi-trailers have been banned from the Gudauri-Kobi section of the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars road of international significance, while other modes of transport are permitted.
On the Mleta-Gudauri and Gudauri-Kobi sections, traffic flow is allowed non-stop via anti-avalanche tunnels only.
Patrol police will monitor the traffic flow.
