Tamar Bachaliashvili's family to stage rally tomorrow

Tamar Bachaliashvili's family will reportedly hold a demonstration outside the U.S. Embassy tomorrow, with their key requirement being to involve the FBI in the case.

"I appeal to entire Georgia and all Georgians that you can now help my daughter, make our voice heard, and let the whole world know that my daughter has been killed. I am calling upon mothers who have lost their children, as well as mothers whose children are safe and sound, asking them to demand that the FBI be involved in this case. If they prove unwilling to meet our requirement, this will be a signal for us that they are hiding something. Gakharia has not contacted me so far; it appears that he does not view this as a necessity," Bachaliashvili's mother Teona Tamazashvili told Formula TV Company.

Tamar Bachaliashvili, 23, was found dead in her car in the village of Tetritskharo on 22 July. The Central Criminal Police Department is looking into the case.
