The Tbilisi City Assembly says that Ilia and Nino Nakashidze street alley has been named after famous Georgian film and theatre actor Kakhi Kavsadze.
Kakhi Kavsadze passed away on 27 April 2021 aged 86.
Kavsadze made his debut in cinema in the 1950s. He was awarded the title of People’s Artist (1981) and won the Festival Prize at Dushanbe (1989).
Kakhi Kavsadze's star was unveiled in front of the Rustaveli Theater in 2008.
