Tengiz Tsertsvadze: We must stiffen coronavirus regulations and control of compliance

"We must stiffen coronavirus regulations and control of compliance; this is the method to avoid the third wave," Tengiz Tsertsvadze, the Director-General of the Infectious Diseases, AIDS and Clinical Immunology Research Center, said.

In Tsertsvadze's words, Georgia's lockdown is not as strict as that of Europe.

"In the US and Europe, they suppose that the third wave will start from February. We want to bring the numbers to the minimum before February. We have already stabilized the situation: we had four and five thousand daily cases, and we now have around two thousand," Tsertsvadze declared.
