The meeting of the Holy Synod will be held before the end of this year. Father Andia Jagmaidze, the Head of the press-center of the Patriarchate stated.
Andria Jagmaidze did not specify whether the Synod would hold a meeting specifically because of Archbishop Iakob's statement.
According to Bishop Iacob, Giorgi Kvirikashvili, the former Prime Minister of Georgia, Giorgi Gakharia, the former Mister of Internal Affairs of Georgia and Vakhtang Gomelauri, the former State Security Service Chief were seeking his help to dismiss the Patriarch.
