A three-month-old baby has contracted the novel virus in the Lagodekhi municipality, the Kakheti region. Head of the local health department Maka Khmaladze confirmed this information.
Family members of the infected baby have reportedly been isolated.
Kakheti has so far recorded 39 coronavirus cases.
